Insecurity: FKNS Lauds Government’ Response, Encourages Community Vigilance

The Federation of Kwara North Students (FKNS) expresses its deepest sorrow and strong condemnation over the recent killings of our parents, brothers, and community members across several parts of Kwara North. These tragic incidents have once again exposed the growing insecurity and the pain our people continue to endure in silence.

We, as students and representatives of the future generation of Kwara North, are deeply disturbed by these acts of barbarity that have claimed innocent lives, displaced families, and left our communities in tears. It is unacceptable that our people, known for their peaceful and hardworking nature, now live in constant fear of attacks.

The FKNS calls on the Kwara State Government, the Federal Government, and all security agencies to immediately take decisive and lasting action to bring an end to these killings. We demand increased security presence, timely intelligence response, and genuine efforts to ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.

We also urge community leaders, traditional rulers, and youth groups to unite in safeguarding our land and promoting peaceful coexistence. Violence and silence in the face of injustice can never be the solution.

FKNS stands firmly with all affected families and communities. We mourn with them, and we promise to continue advocating for justice, peace, and the protection of every life in Kwara North.

Enough is enough. The lives of our people matter.
May the souls of the departed rest in perfect peace.
May peace return to Kwara North.
