In Loving Memory of Mr. Kwame Debrah Kissi (13th February 1954 – 26th January 2006)

With gratitude for a life well lived, the families from Obomeng and Kofiase, together with all allied families, lovingly remember and celebrate the life of Mr. Kwame Debrah Kissi, whose sudden transition occurred on 26th January 2006 at the 37 Military Hospital, Accra, at the age of 52. He was laid to rest on 11th March 2006 at the Osu Cemetery, Accra.

Born on 13th February 1954, Kwame Debrah Kissi distinguished himself as an astute and visionary businessman, guided by discipline, perseverance, and quiet excellence. From modest beginnings, he co-managed a small leather and shoe enterprise, DannyDebs, alongside his business partner, Mr. Daniel Odame Koranteng, in Adabraka, Accra. Through foresight and resilience, he expanded his entrepreneurial reach, founding and leading ventures such as Payless Travel & Tours and Asti Agencies Ltd.

Never content with past achievements, Mr. Kissi remained committed to growth and innovation until the very end. At the time of his passing, he was actively working towards the establishment of Payless Pharmacy, reflecting his enduring belief in service, opportunity, and progress.

On that fateful day, he returned home appearing well, mentioning only a mild headache. Later that night, a sudden heart attack led to his hurried admission to hospital, where he peacefully passed, leaving family, friends, and associates in deep shock and sorrow.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Kwame Debrah Kissi was a devoted husband, a loving and present father, a dependable brother, and a respected pillar within his community. He was widely admired for his vision, humility, generosity, and readiness to support others. His counsel was valued, his kindness deeply felt, and his integrity beyond question. His influence reached far beyond Ghana, touching lives both at home and across the world.

He is lovingly remembered by his widow, Mrs. Constance Debrah; his cherished children: Ampadu Debrah Kissi, Ameyaw Kissi Debrah, Nelly Owusua Debrah, and Atuobi Debrah Kissi; his siblings: Kwabena Osafo Kissi, Kwame Asiedu Kissi, the late Joana Anima Kissi, and Linda Serwah; and his cousins:Kwaku Ameyaw Kissi, Felicia Kissi, Yaa Akyea Kissi, Kofi Boadu Kissi, Kwabena Buabeng Kissi, Emma Goodhead Kissi, and Adwoa Agyei Kissi.

He is also fondly remembered by his extended family, business associates, the staff of Payless Travel & Tours, DannyDebs Company Ltd., Asti Agencies Ltd., cherished friends in Adabraka, and friends and sympathisers across the globe.

Though his time with us was cut short, the legacy of Mr. Kwame Debrah Kissi endures, in the institutions he built, the lives he uplifted, and the values of diligence, humility, and generosity he exemplified.

May his gentle soul continue to rest in perfect peace.
