I'M AN EDO GIRL BUT I PREFER TO BE IDENTIFY AS IGBO – EX BBNAIJA HOUSEMATE, CHICHI REVEALS 

One of the finalists from the just concluded Big Brother Naija Season 7 reality show, Chinenyenwa Desire Okoebor popular known as Chichi has granted series of interviews after the show. 

During one of such interviews with Hero Daniels of ITC media, she revealed why she bears an Igbo name when she is indeed from Edo State, Chichi. Her parents are from Edo State, but they lived in the East when she was born. She was properly raised in the East and spending so much time there got her to learn their traditions and even language.

She went on to state that she knows Igbo language and traditions more than Edo language and traditions. 

She said, "I am from Edo State because that's where my parents are from. However, I was born and raised in the East. It's because of all this that I understand Igbo language and traditions more than that of Edo State.

"You can see I bear an Igbo name 'Chichi' and I consider myself more of an Igbo girl than an Edo girl".
