Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has declared that the Igbo people built Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

The governor made the claims during a birthday ceremony held in honour of an Imo State-born elder statesman, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, in Owerri, the Imo State capital on the occasion of his 80th birthday.

Governor Uzodinma further claimed that some people are trying hard to rewrite history.
