If the reason behind doacWeb was money, I would have given up — Didi-Omah Augustine Chinazaekpere

Building a platform like doacWeb is not as easy everyone might think. The failures are as food we eat everyday.

Initially, if the reason behind doacWeb was money, I would have given up. I can't bear the delays and failures. 

What pushes me forward is discipline, and what get me started at first place, is determination.

Failures, setbacks and falls weakened me, I am not super human, I am flesh and of blood. 

Remember we moved to bearing doacWeb as a new business name. We are entering into territories and countries, yet we were in big debts and making zero revenue. 

I had no job, my duty was to read, study, attend meetings and build my business — that's doacWeb. Yet, no money to call my own. That was frustrating, yes!

Code errors, domain expired, hosting package expired, SSL certificate expired — what am I going to do? I became thinking machine, seeking for who to help me financially. 

I will say, I am one of those entrepreneurs, whose parents contributed and supported their business. My father and mother, play roles in being my early financiers and financial sponsors to my business.

Despite that we were having strong financial lacks and issues; remember when I said, we were in big debts.

Do our debtors disturbed us? Yes, but with love and understanding, they kept reminding us, of our debts. When 23 years old, I was down, and feeling that I am a failure — reason was because of finances to clear off the debts, run sponsorship programs for doacWeb growth, paid advertisments for instant responses, and general website management.

What a big list that needed financial settlement? Then I realised money was not everything, but it answered all things. Because many businesses poured millions of naira to it, and eventually close down and be out of business.

We were growing our business with purpose and faith. When you have determination, discipline, dedication and diligence — have these four D's, you will succeed through.

Like the saying, direction is more better than speed, that is what is needed in life and business. 

We got direction, we started posting our offers and about doacWeb, talking to our users on doacWeb and Facebook. 

We experienced so many setbacks, falls and damages. Codes corruption that doacWeb experienced in late June 2025, caused us to nearly lost doacWeb totally, but it resulted to lost of content from January 2025 to June 2025 — what saved us from the total lost? Was November 2024 backup.

Backup was easy but I ignored it, I knew how to backup a website and app completely. Until that codes corruption happens. A mistake can cause you to lose millions, but the lessons learnt will fetch you billions — that's what happened.

Those big companies you are admiring have flaws and falls, they were once thought to be a failure and go to extinction, but the founders refuses to give up.

Start-ups don't be out of business because of lack of money, they are out of business because the founder lack energy. When you invest your time, and resources, lacking energy — that business will eventually close. When you invest your time, resources and energy to it — that business will be seen in the global light.
