“I Missed It; I Am Deeply Sorry” — Prophet Bernard Nelson-Eshun Apologises After NPP Presidential Primaries Prophecy Fails

Prophet Bernard Elbernard Nelson-Eshun has issued a public apology after his widely circulated prophecy concerning the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries did not materialise.

In a statement released on Saturday, January 31, the prophet admitted that his declaration that Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong would win the NPP presidential primaries and eventually become the party’s flagbearer for the 2028 general elections was inaccurate.

According to him, the prophetic declaration was made through a book, videos, and several media interviews, where he confidently projected Hon. Agyapong as the eventual winner of the primaries. However, results emerging from the presidential primaries held earlier today indicate that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is leading the race.

Acknowledging the outcome, Prophet Nelson-Eshun stated plainly that the prophecy did not come to pass, admitting that he was wrong and taking full responsibility for the declaration.

He apologised to members of the public who trusted his words, noting that some people were affected emotionally, spiritually, and politically as a result of the prophecy. He also expressed regret to individuals who may have taken decisions based on his pronouncements.

The prophet stressed that he does not blame anyone else for the failed prediction, describing the moment as one that has caused him to reflect deeply on accountability and discernment in the communication of prophetic revelations.

He further apologised to believers in Ghana and around the world who may have felt disappointed or hurt, and to those whose faith may have been shaken by his actions. He reaffirmed his commitment to integrity, growth, and truth, adding that he is grateful to those who have corrected him in love and continue to pray for him.

The apology follows days of public discussion and scrutiny after videos of his prediction resurfaced online as results from the NPP primaries began to trend.

As counting continues, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia remains in the lead, according to provisional results from the primaries held nationwide on January 31.
