‘I Did Five DNA Tests’: Davido Rejects Fresh Paternity Claim, Says All Test Results Are Negative

Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has dismissed fresh paternity claims circulating online, stating that multiple DNA tests already proved he is not the father of the teen in question.

The controversy resurfaced after a teenager, Anuoluwapo Michelle Adeleke, daughter of Grace Ayotomide, posted an emotional message on Instagram requesting a DNA test from the singer to establish her identity. The post, shared publicly, detailed her upbringing, school struggles, and claims that she had long been bullied over saying her father was David Adeleke.

In her caption, the teenager wrote, “As I grow older I want to establish my identity. I was bullied in school since I was 6 years old and cried home daily. Other students laughed at me when I told them my father was Mr David Adeleke.”

She added that the experience affected her mental health, saying, “I went through a lot of mental anguish and visited a medical professional to protect my mental health.”

Explaining her reason for going public, she continued, “As I transition into a young woman, I am respectfully asking Mr David Adeleke Singer @davido for a DNA to establish my identity. This test is between my dad and I. It is something I want. It is something that’s the right thing to do.”

She also stated that she had reached out privately, saying, “Please sir, consider my request once you read this post. I also sent it to your DM.”

Reacting strongly to the renewed claims, Davido took to X to deny paternity and insisted the matter had already been settled through testing.

He wrote, “After 5 DNA test … she Dey crase.. her and her mom better leave me the f**k alone and go find her papa…”

Clarifying further in response to another user, the singer added, “Yes I chose three hospitals and they chose their own two hospitals.. all came out Negative .. this is the last time I’m speaking on this nonsense.”

Davido also referenced his family’s stance on lineage, saying, “You guys don’t know my father… he’s even the one that forced me to go… Adeleke’s we don’t play about Blood on this side!”

The exchange followed reactions from social media users, including one who wrote, “I believe him. Adelekes don’t seem to be the type to fling children away.”

The episode has once again drawn attention to the pressures public figures face with private disputes unfolding online, as Davido maintains that all scientific evidence already clears him of the paternity allegation.
