How to Pull Off ‘Emily in Paris’-Level Maximalism Without Feeling Costume-y

Emily in Paris is back for its fifth season, bringing Emily’s signature maximalist fashion with it. Our girl is constantly decked out in all of the patterns, colors, and prints one can imagine. And while you may look at her style and think it’s not very wearable, there are valuable lessons in maximalist fashion to be learned from the show.

For one thing, her outfits are constantly eye-catching and scene-stealing. And I think fashion girls everywhere would agree: If your look isn’t stealing the scene, why wear it at all? But I also recognize that Emily’s style isn’t for everyone.
