How I lost everything after divorce – Caroline Danjuma

Caroline Hutchings, a Scottish-Nigerian actress, has provided insights into her post-divorce life following the separation from her former spouse, Musa Danjuma.

In a detailed message shared on her Instagram account last Wednesday, the actress expressed how the divorce led to a loss of her personal identity and aspirations.

Recalling her journey, she narrated the challenges she encountered post-divorce, which compelled her to rebuild her life due to facing prejudice and setbacks.

She said;

“I was once a promising makeup artist and hair guru, actress, film producer and fashion consultant. CEO Luxury Addict, CEO Kinetic Media. But I lost my identity and dreams because of divorce

“I walked away from it all for my own sanity. I started my journey from scratch facing all the fake rumors, discriminations, rejections and uncertainties at 29+ years.

“A conversation that women who have walked the same part hate to talk about. A bittersweet journey to a place unknown. This is my story,”

Caroline and Musa tied the knot in 2007 and made public their separation in 2016 after a nine-year union.

Caroline Danjuma, in 2023, discussed the possibility of reconciling with her former partner, Musa Danjuma, whom she referred to as the love of her life.

During a recent interview, the entrepreneur spoke admirably of Musa, showing no signs of resentment towards the father of her children.

Caroline Danjuma mentioned that despite their official divorce, they still maintain a positive relationship, with her retaining the surname Danjuma even outside of social media platforms, a decision that Musa seemingly approves of.

She elaborated on her choice to switch her social media name from Danjuma to Hutchins, expressing her discomfort with the negative associations linked to his surname.

When asked about the prospect of remarriage, Caroline Danjuma affirmed her openness to either marrying anew or reigniting her past relationship with her ex-spouse.
