Hojlund undergoes medical ahead of Napoli loan move

Rasmus Hojlund has arrived in Italy to complete a medical before finalising his move from Manchester United to Napoli.

The 22-year-old striker is set to join the Serie A side on a season-long loan worth €6 million, with the agreement including an obligation to buy if Napoli qualify for the Champions League.

Should that clause be triggered, the club will pay an additional €44 million to secure him permanently.

United will retain a five per cent sell-on clause, while Hojlund’s contract at Napoli will feature a €90 million release clause, according to reports in Italy.

The Denmark international touched down in Rome on Friday night and is now undergoing medical tests before completing his switch.

This move marks a return to Serie A for Hojlund, who previously played for Atalanta before sealing a record transfer to Manchester United in 2023.
