Hangman Page wants to maim Christopher Daniels in Texas Death Match

They got into it last week, and this is what it’s already escalated.

Boy, that escalated quickly. The next chapter in the story between Hangman Page and Christopher Daniels is a Texas Death Match.

Hangman cut a killer promo on Collision (Jan. 11, 2025) to explain his mindset for this dangerous fight. After the Swerve Strickland home invasion, Hangman was ashamed to show his face. He was ashamed to stand in front of the world, and he was ashamed to look his wife in the eye. Hangman had a tough decision to make. Either remain a husk of a man or do something about it. We now know his choice was clear with the continuation of the Swerve feud and burning down the Strickland family home.

As for Daniels, the Fallen Angel crossed the line putting hands on Hangman last week. There will be a price to pay, and it will come in a Texas Death Match.

Daniels had a response to Hangman’s threats. He came to the cowboy as a friend and was met with violence every time. It hurt when Hangman trashed his career. Daniels has pride in all the meaningful things he has done on this business. He is tired of being disrespected.

AEW made the match official. Hangman versus the Fallen Angel in Texas Death on the Maximum Carnage episode of Collision, airing on Saturday, January 18 (taped on Thursday, January 16).

The Texas Death Match stipulation is a good move. At this point in their careers, Hangman and Daniels are not on the same level in the ring. By turning this into a violent affair, the match becomes a spectacle. With that kind of brutality in play, it is easier to believe in an even playing field.
