Galatasaray target Ademola Lookman

Galatasaray are reportedly keen on signing Nigeria international Ademola Lookman from Atalanta, according to Turkish outlet Fotomac.

The Super Lig champions have identified the 27-year-old winger as a key target for head coach Okan Buruk, who is eager to strengthen his attacking options.

Lookman’s compatriot, Victor Osimhen, is also expected to play a role in convincing him to make the switch to Istanbul.

The former Leicester City man was keen to leave Atalanta for Inter Milan during the summer transfer window, even submitting a transfer request after the club rejected Inter’s bid. Lookman reportedly went AWOL for a few weeks amid the transfer standoff.

Galatasaray are now preparing an initial loan proposal with an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.

Lookman, currently valued at €40 million by Transfermarkt, has two years remaining on his contract with the Bergamo-based side.
