FTR accept Adam Copeland’s challenge and add an extra stipulation

FTR wants to end the tag team of Adam Copeland and Christian Cage once and for all, so they didn’t hesitate to accept Cope’s challenge. FTR upped the ante to add a twist with another stipulation on top.

C&C failed to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship from FTR at Dynasty. Copeland wants another crack at FTR’s gold, so he knew he had to sweeten the pot for FTR to grant the rematch. Cope’s idea was a New York Street Fight for the titles at Double or Nothing. If C&C lose, then they will retire as a team.

FTR opened Collision (Apr. 25, 2026), and they happily accepted that challenge. Cash Wheeler is enticed by the extra stipulation of retiring C&C.

Dax Harwood wants more for an I Quit Match on top of the street fight. He wants to embarrass Cope and Christian in front of their wives, daughters, dogs, and God by making them say, “I quit.” That will put to rest the debate of who is the greatest tag team.

The ball is in the court of Cope and Christian. Given what they have already put at stake, I doubt that an I Quit stipulation will have them running scared.
