Former Nigeria women’s national team goalkeeper, Precious Dede has announced the birth of quadruplets, a deeply emotional moment that has sparked widespread joy across Nigeria football community.

The former Super Falcons safe hands shared the heartwarming news on her Instagram page on Sunday, confirming that she welcomed four children at once (two boys and two girls) after many years of waiting for motherhood.

“Proof That Delay Is Not Denial” – Precious Dede

In an emotional post filled with gratitude, faith, and reflection, Dede described the arrival of her children as a powerful reminder that patience is never wasted.

She wrote, word for word:

“After many years of waiting, God showed up in the most beautiful way, FOUR precious blessings at once. Double the boys, double the girls, quadruple the joy.”

“Our hearts are full beyond words. Years of prayers, tears, and hope… now turned into four miracles. God is faithful. From waiting to overflowing.”

Dede, who got married in a quiet ceremony, has waited several years for motherhood.

The birth of quadruplets has been widely described as nothing short of miraculous, with messages of congratulations pouring in from across Nigeria and beyond.

A Proud and Decorated Career in Green and White

Beyond the personal milestone, Precious Dede remains one of Africa’s most decorated and respected goalkeepers.

She earned over 90 international caps for Nigeria and represented the Super Falcons at the FIFA Women’s World Cup on four occasions (2003, 2007, 2011, and 2015).

Her final World Cup appearance came in 2015, before she officially announced her retirement from international football in 2016.

She also featured at three Olympic Games;

Sydney 2000,

Athens 2004, and

Beijing 2008.

Precious Dede also played in four Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournaments (2008, 2010, 2012, and 2014).
