French PM Lecornu proposes wealth tax to pass budget through fragmented parliament

Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu, France's fifth prime minister in two years, proposed to create a tax on financial wealth in a bid to ram the budget through a deeply fragmented parliament. This came after he also ruled out using special constitutional powers to pass the budget without a vote earlier on Friday.
