An old fashioned is a pretty delicious cocktail to make for happy hour, and it’s also a good one to order at a higher end bar. This fig old fashioned is the type of craft cocktail that you might find on the menu at one of those high end bars. But it’s super easy to make at home too!

This recipe comes from the latest cookbook by my good friend Maegan Brown: Brilliant Bites: 75 Amazing Small Bites for Any Occasion. Maegan is queen of easy recipes, and this book is another great one. It’s full of recipes for party bites, holiday bites, breakfast bites, snack bites, dessert bites and savvy sips. There are a ton of awesome ideas in this book for bites to serve at a party! I’m such a fan of old-fashioned cocktails, so I had to choose the fig old-fashioned to make.
