Emirates Airlines to Resume Flights to Nigeria on October 1st

Emirates Airlines has set October 1st as the new date for recommencing flights to Nigeria, according to an announcement made on their official Twitter account.

The message shared online stated, “Exciting news for Nigeria! Our flights to Lagos will be back in operation starting October 1, 2024. We look forward to providing unparalleled travel options to Dubai and connecting flights to over 140 destinations.”

Starting from the specified date, the airline will run daily flights between Lagos and Dubai, expanding travel options for passengers and enhancing connectivity from Nigeria’s major urban hub to Dubai and beyond.

The decision to resume services follows a meeting between Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and UAE Ambassador to Nigeria, Salem Saeed Al-S, held the previous day.

Emirates had suspended its flights to Nigeria back in October 2022 due to difficulties in repatriating funds stuck in the country.
