Elon Musk has confirmed that Tesla is planning to offer a modification package for the Cybertruck that will enable it to function as a boat for short distances, specifically to traverse at least 100 meters of water!

This plan, part of Musk’s broader vision for the Cybertruck, will primarily require upgrading the cabin door seals to make it waterproof.

Despite Musk’s previous claims about Tesla vehicles’ ability to float and function as boats, these have not been taken very seriously, as they contradict Tesla’s warranty terms regarding water exposure.

We are going to offer a mod package that enables Cybertruck to traverse at least 100m of water as a boat.

Mostly just need to upgrade cabin door seals.
