According to reports, the helicopter departed from the Melawi District and lost communication approximately five minutes into the flight. It was en route to a palm oil plantation in Kubu Raya District.

Search and rescue teams later located the wreckage in a dense forest area within the Sekadau District.

Authorities confirmed that all eight individuals on board—comprising two crew members and six passengers—were found dead at the crash site.
