Edward Muriithi: From Private Practice to the Bench

Edward Muriithi Muthoga is a Judge of the High Court of Kenya appointed in 2011 and currently serves in Meru.

He has served in various court stations across Kenya, including Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisii, Machakos, and Kabarnet.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Nairobi, earned in 1990.

Muriithi has a Postgraduate Diploma in Law, attained in 1991 from the Kenya School of Law, and was admitted to the Roll of Advocates in 1992.

Edward Muriithi Work Experience

He has worked as a Judge of the High Court since 2011.

Between 2004 and 2011, Edward was serving in the Magistracy.

In 1999, he was a Sole Proprietor at Edward Muthoga Muriithi Advocates until 2004.

He was an Associate at Muthoga, Gaturu & Co. Advocates between 1998 and 1999.

1997- 1998, he worked as an Advocate at Kituo Cha Sheria (Legal Advice Centre).

In 1996, Muriithi was the Legal Editor of Law Reporter Magazine and left the post in 1997.

From 1993 to 1995, he served as an Advocate at Kamau Kuria & Kiraitu Advocates.
