EDO ELECTION RESULTS UPDATES: PDP Governors Announces the Winner of 21st September poll.

In what may seem like a desperate move, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has gone ahead to announce the results of Saturday’s governorship election in Edo State. Addressing the press, the Governor of Adamawa State, Umaru Fintiri, flanked by other governors of the party, stated that the figures they announced were from “our collation agent that was ongoing before INEC disrupted the process.”

The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are currently locked in a tight race in the ongoing governorship election in Edo State.

Sunday morning revealed that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had uploaded about 97 percent of the 4,519 polling units’ results on its Results Viewing (IReV) portal.

The results indicated that Asue Ighodalo of the PDP and his APC counterpart, Senator Monday Okpebholo, are in a tight race.

According to the results on INEC’s IReV portal, while the PDP candidate is leading in the Edo South Senatorial District, the APC candidate leads in the Edo North Senatorial District.
