Ebonyi Governor rewards D’Tigress star Ejiofor with N30m, duplex

Ebonyi Governor, Francis Nwifuru has gifted D’Tigress forward Munachi Ejiofor N30 million in recognition of her contribution to the team’s triumph at the 2025 Women’s AfroBasket.

Ejiofor also received a duplex in Abakaliki and was inducted into the Ebonyi State Hall of Fame.

D’Tigress recently clinched their fifth consecutive Women’s AfroBasket title in Côte d’Ivoire earlier this month.

The African champions were also honoured by President Bola Tinubu, with each player receiving $100,000, an apartment, and a national honour.
