DUBAI: The Dubai Humanitarian aid convoy has been dispatched to deliver critical medical supplies to Lebanon, reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to global humanitarian efforts. Facilitated by Dubai Humanitarian under directives from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the initiative supports communities displaced by ongoing conflict.

The Dubai Humanitarian aid convoy, consisting of four trucks, departed Dubai on 20 March carrying 21.5 metric tonnes of essential medicines and healthcare supplies provided by the World Health Organization. The shipment is expected to arrive in Lebanon within days, contributing to urgent relief operations addressing the growing humanitarian crisis.

The cargo includes a wide range of medical items aimed at strengthening healthcare services for displaced populations. As pressure mounts on Lebanon’s healthcare system, such support is vital in ensuring continued access to treatment and emergency care.

Giuseppe Saba, CEO and Board Member of Dubai Humanitarian, emphasised the organisation’s role in enabling rapid and effective aid delivery. He highlighted the importance of collaboration across partners and stakeholders to maintain the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian assistance in times of crisis.

The operation is supported by the Global Humanitarian Impact Fund, which covered transportation costs, ensuring swift mobilisation of resources. Dubai Humanitarian continues to leverage its strategic location, logistics capabilities, and global partnerships to respond efficiently to emergencies.
