Dembele injury scare raises concern for PSG ahead of Arsenal clash

Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé suffered an injury scare during the club’s Ligue 1 clash against Paris FC on the final day of the season.

Dembélé was forced off before the half-hour mark after appearing to suffer a thigh problem, raising concerns ahead of PSG’s UEFA Champions League final showdown with Arsenal on May 30.

The Ligue 1 champions were hoping to maintain momentum before the European final, but the Paris derby took a negative turn when the France international was seen clutching his leg before being substituted.

The 29-year-old headed straight down the tunnel for medical assessment after leaving the pitch.

Dembélé has once again been one of PSG’s key performers this season, making his fitness a major concern for head coach Luis Enrique.

Speaking after PSG’s defeat to Paris FC, Enrique attempted to calm fears over the winger’s condition.

“I think it’s just fatigue,” Enrique said, according to Get French Football News.

“What we’re saying today is just speculation, but I don’t think it’s anything serious, and there are still two weeks left.”

Further medical examinations on Dembélé are expected to take place on Monday.

The French attacker was recently included in Didier Deschamps’ squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
