Delta speaker along with IYC praise Tinubu for the appointment of new PAP administrator

Both the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Emomotimi Guwor, and the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide have expressed their admiration for President Bola Tinubu’s decision to appoint an Ijaw native from the Niger Delta region, Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro, as the new Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

In separate messages of congratulations issued by the Delta Speaker and the IYC to Otuaro, which were shared with journalists in Warri, Delta State, on Saturday.

Guwor, through a statement delivered by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, hailed Otuaro’s appointment as “well deserved and a very positive development in the Niger Delta region”.

The Speaker emphasized that “as someone well-versed in the region, Chief Dennis Otuaro, a Principal Consultant and Chief Executive Officer of Owelle Global Resources and other enterprises, has been at the forefront of advocating for the genuine liberation of the Niger Delta populace”.

He underlined that “the appointment perfectly fits the individual to the task” pointing out that Otuaro’s track record in the activism, particularly in effectively engaging the youth, likely played a significant role in earning him the President’s favor.

The IYC, in a statement jointly endorsed by Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr. and Amb Binebai Yerin Princewill, serving as President and spokesperson, respectively, remarked, “As a council, we wish to specifically applaud His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, for not just recognizing Dr. Dennis Otuaro’s suitability for such a position but also for heeding the desires of the Ijaw Youth Council and the Ijaw community overall.

“There is absolutely no doubt that Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro is the ideal individual for the role particularly at this crucial time when Nigeria demands committed and outcomes-driven leaders at the forefront.”
