Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, on Wednesday, presented 65 brand new Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to traditional rulers in the state to enable them carry out their functions with greater ease and convenience.

At the presentation ceremony held at the Government House, Asaba, keys to sixty (60) 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser LC 250 (Prado) SUVs and five (5) 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series SUVs were handed over to the monarchs.

While announcing the car gift on his official Instagram account, Oborevwori said that the gesture is “in line with the second pillar of the More Agenda, which is Opportunities for All”.

A 19-year-old driver was also apprehended by police in Edo State after knocking down three officers and smashing into several vehicles with a ‘plateless’ Mercedes-Benz SUV with dark-tinted windows while trying to evade arrest.

According to an X post by Public Relations Officer for the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, substances suspected to be hard drugs were found inside the suspect’s vehicle upon searching by the operatives of the Edo State Police Command.

Hundeyin was reacting to a viral video watched by Autojosh on X, who shows a black Mercedes-Benz SUV making a sharp car maneuver to evade arrest before smashing head-on into an incoming car.

On Thursday at its 2026 Distributors’ Awards Night, Dangote Cement Plc presented ₦15 billion worth of rewards to its top-performing distributors for their “loyalty, resilience, and exceptional performance”.

For emerging the top-performing distributor for the third consecutive year, Otunba Kazeem Olayemi Odeyeyiwa of Kazab Heritage Ltd was presented with a cash prize and keys to a brand new Lexus LX 600 ultra-luxury SUV worth over N300 million.

At the event, which had the President/CEO of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, in attendance, keys to brand new Lexus LX 600 was also presented to the 2nd runner-up while some top-performing customers got Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and CNG-powered trucks.

Lagos CCTV Surveillance Centre Will Strengthen Security, Enhance Real-time Crime Prevention — Police

During the week, the Lagos State Police Command activated Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) Surveillance Centre will strengthen security and enhance real-time crime prevention across Lagos Island and its environs, the Lagos State Police Command has said.

Built and fully equipped by the Federal Government of Nigeria, the facility will operate round the clock, providing real-time monitoring of the Third Mainland Bridge and the surrounding waterways to proactively prevent crime and protect lives and property.

“The Centre, which also serves as Control Room 5, operates round the clock with well-trained officers, to ensure swift intelligence-led response,” the command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, disclosed this in a post on X.
