Court orders lady to pay boyfriend ₦150,000 for collecting  ₦3,000 transport fare but failing to visit

A Nigerian court has ordered a lady, Miss Rhoda Adu to pay her boyfriend , Olapitan Sola, ₦150,000 as damages after collecting ₦3,000 for transport fare but failing to show up as promised.

The incident was shared in a post that gained traction on X (formerly Twitter). According to the post by a user, @DejiAdesogan, the Magistrate Court in Ilesa, Osun State, delivered the ruling after the boyfriend filed a complaint.

The statement read: “A Magistrate Court in Ilesa, Osun State, has ordered Miss Rhoda Adu to pay ₦150,000 damages to her boyfriend, Olapitan Sola. She collected ₦3,000 as transport fare but failed to visit him as promised.”
