Following the death of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in October 2025, he undoubtedly left behind vast business ventures across various sectors.

Even before his death, his three children — Raila Odinga Junior, Winnie, and Rosemary Odinga — had independent entrepreneurial ventures, but they took on more responsibilities in the management of long-standing family industries after their father’s death.

As the heirs of Mr. Odinga, they have now taken more central roles in the family’s multimillion-shilling business empire, which comprises interests in energy, real estate, and manufacturing.

In this segment, Times Digital Kenya takes a look at business ventures associated with Raila Odinga Junior, Winnie Odinga, and Rosemary, both family and private assets.

Raila Odinga Junior

As the only son in the family, Junior acts as the primary manager of the family’s core commercial assets. Among the family business ventures are East Africa Spectre Ltd, where he serves as a director, and BE Energy Limited, where he manages the Kenyan operations of the oil marketing firm.

Aside from running these two family business assets, Raila Odinga Junior also holds 25,000 shares in Pan African Petroleum Company, another family business.

In addition to his association with the family businesses, Junior runs an independent venture, The Creative Hub, a production company that creates advertisements for mainstream media. At The Creative Hub, Raila Odinga Junior serves as CEO as well as executive producer.

Winnie Odinga

Although Winnie is the last-born in the family, she also enjoys interests in family holdings. Some of these include Lennox Development Ltd, where she holds 1,000 shares, and Pan African Petroleum Company, where she holds 25,000 shares.

Apart from her role in the family businesses, Winnie Odinga is also an independent businesswoman. For instance, she is the founder of The BrickHouse Counsel, a Nairobi-based strategic communications and digital strategy firm.

Rosemary Odinga

Just like Winnie, Rosemary Odinga holds 1,000 shares in Lennox Development Ltd but has a larger stake in Pan African Petroleum Company, with 50,000 shares.

Rosemary, who is known for pioneering agribusiness in Kenya, is the founder of Shelltops Limited. At Shelltops Limited, she specializes in the rearing of Giant African Land snails.
