The earthquake’s epicenter was located at 23.76 degrees north latitude and 121.51 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 10 km, according to CENC.

Just minutes before, at 6:46 p.m. Monday (Beijing Time), a 5.3-magnitude earthquake had struck the sea area near Hualien at a depth of 10 km, as reported by the authorities.

The epicenter of this earlier quake was at 23.74 degrees north latitude and 121.59 degrees east longitude, based on information from CENC.

Prior to this, at 5:08 p.m. (Beijing Time), another 5.3-magnitude earthquake hit the sea area near Hualien on the same day.
