Arsenal secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion, propelling them to the top of the Premier League table at the end of Saturday’s fixtures.

The Gunners asserted their dominance early on, with Bukayo Saka converting from the penalty spot in the first half to give them a well-deserved lead. Kai Havertz doubled their advantage on the hour mark, capitalizing on a Jorginho cross with a simple tap-in. Former Brighton player Leandro Trossard added insult to injury with a sublime finish late in the game.

Mikel Arteta’s men finished the day one point ahead of Liverpool at the summit of the standings, with Liverpool set to face Manchester United on Sunday.

In a fast-paced encounter, Gabriel missed an early opportunity for Arsenal, while Brighton also had their chances. However, it was Arsenal who maintained the pressure, with Saka and Gabriel Jesus both coming close to scoring.

The breakthrough came when Tariq Lamptey fouled Jesus in the box, resulting in a penalty which Saka coolly converted. Despite Brighton’s efforts, Arsenal continued to dominate, and Havertz extended their lead with a clinical finish from close range.

Brighton struggled to create significant chances in the second half, with Arsenal’s defense standing firm. In the dying moments of the game, substitute Trossard sealed the victory for Arsenal with a superb solo effort, leaving the home fans disappointed.

Overall, it was a commanding performance from Arsenal, showcasing their title credentials as they climbed to the top of the table.
