Evanilson scored late goal as Bournemouth defeated Arsenal 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium in Saturday Premier League game.

The Gunners took the lead in the first half through Declan Rice, who was making his 100th appearance and looked relatively comfortable.

Mikel Arteta’s side had opportunities to extend their lead, but they couldn’t find a second, then, through weakness on defending set pieces, they allowed Bournemouth back into the game through Dean Huijsen.

Arsenal were further stunned when Evanilson headed home at the back post from a corner that Marcus Tavernier flicked on.

It was the fourth set-piece goal conceded by the Gunners in their last three Premier League games at home and it helped them earn Bournemouth’s first ever win at Arsenal.

Meanwhile, the win for the visitors boosted their hopes of securing European football next season as they move up to eighth.

Arsenal remain second despite the loss but third-placed Manchester City are just three points behind.
