Ayra Starr announced as lead cast in Hollywood movie, ‘Children of Blood and Bone’

Nigerian singer Ayra Starr, known for her hits “Rush” and “Sabi Girl,” is set to transition into acting with her Hollywood debut in the highly-anticipated film adaptation of Children of Blood and Bone.

This epic tale, set in an African kingdom, follows a young woman on a mission to restore stolen magic and hope to a society facing oppression.

Joining a star-studded cast including Viola Davis, Idris Elba, and Cynthia Erivo, Ayra Starr’s fans are eagerly anticipating her performance.

Produced by Lucasfilm, the film promises to be visually stunning and is scheduled for release in 2027.

This exciting news follows her historic achievement as the first Nigerian woman to receive an RIAA Diamond certification for her single “Santa.”
