Another sign Lucha Bros are probably done with AEW

Penta El Zero M may say his present is with AEW, but it continues to look like AEW doesn’t have any plans to use him or his brother Rey Fenix in light of reports the Lucha Bros duo has their eyes set on WWE.

Our latest sign came with the announcement of the qualifying match for the final spot in All In’s London Ladders match for the Trios titles.

Christian Cage & The Patriarchy currently hold the belts, and House of Black and the Bang Bang Gang have already been booked for a shot at the champs this Sunday at All In. Last week on Collision, interim EVP Christopher Daniels announced that a fourth team would be added to the mix on the Aug. 24 epiode. Tonight (Aug. 21) on Dynamite, AEW announced that the two teams in that qualifier would be Top Flight’s Darius & Dante Martin and Lio Rush, and Blackpool Combat Club’s Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta and PAC.

PAC’s been striving for a “Wembley moment” for months, and finally gets a proper shot at one. His reunion with the BCC doesn’t bode well for the future of his previous group, however. PAC has been allied with Lucha Bros as Death Triangle for most of AEW’s existence. Death Triangle were the second team to hold the company’s Trios titles, and were allegedly pencilled in to challenge for the belts before AEW determined Penta & Fenix weren’t interested in re-signing.
