Amb. Taofeek Arapaja Conferred Baba Adinni by Felele Muslim Community, Credits Honour to Gov. Makinde

The Felele, Olorunsogo and Molete community was agog as political functionaries, family, friends and well wishers gathered to witness the turbaning ceremony of the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the People’s Democratic Party, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja as the New Baba Adinni of the said Muslim community and its environs.

The religious title which was conferred on Ambassador Arapaja on Sunday 7th September, 2025 at IMG Primary School, Ibuko, Molete, Ibadan was in recognition of his sterling contribution to the growth, development and faith based leadership in Islam.

The Chairman organizing committee of the programme, Alhaji Musiliu Arowopoko, stressed that the league of Alfas in the said community carefully selected Ambassador Arapaja for the title having considered his role and exemplary qualities in propagating Islamic religion and peaceful co-existence in the entire Felele, Olorunsogo and Molete community.

They prayed to Allah Almighty to grant him sound health, wisdom and everything needed to succeed in the new role bestowed on him.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja who dedicated the title conferred on him to the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde for his role in his recent political sojourn and success story, commended the organizers for founding him worthy.

He stated further that he was humbled to accept the honour based on the fact that it came from the people in his immediate environment who appreciated his positive contributions to the community and its environs.

He recalled that the person that held the title of Baba Adinni in the said community, late Alhaji Alimi Yusuf was an old time friend of his political benefactor, late Alhaji Lamidi Ariyibi Adedibu who was like a father figure to him during his lifetime. Therefore, he was glad to be the person that takes the title after his demise.

Ambassador Arapaja further appreciated all his followers, political functionaries, members of his family and others that honoured him with their presence, promising to dedicate more to the growth of Islam and promotion of religious tolerance and unity.
