Amazon’s Fire HD 10 tablet is now available at its lowest price in months

Amazon has cut $50 off its own Fire HD 10 tablet, dropping the price to $129.99.

Fifty dollars just came off the #5 best-selling tablet on Amazon, dropping the Fire HD 10 from $179.99 to $129.99. That makes this 64GB model only $10 more than the 32GB model.

Amazon often saves its best discount for Black Friday and Prime Day and rarely lets its own hardware sit this far below list price for long outside of those days, so it’s worth acting before the discount disappears.

Amazon says the latest model is 25% faster than the previous generation, powered by an octa-core processor and up to 4GB of RAM. That performance feeds a 10.1-inch Full HD display with over two million pixels for sharp, bright playback.

Battery life stretches to 13 hours of reading, browsing or video, easily covering a long-haul flight or a day away from a charger. It also recharges in under four hours using the included 9W adapter, or roughly three hours with an optional 15W charger.

Storage starts at 32GB and rises to 64GB, with a micro-SD card expanding that up to 1TB. The screen itself is reinforced with aluminosilicate glass that Amazon says tested 2.7 times as durable as the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, useful for a tablet as likely to end up in a school bag as on a coffee table.

A Made for Amazon Stylus Pen, sold separately, adds 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity for natural note-taking and sketching directly in apps like OneNote. New AI-powered tools built into the tablet can also draft polished emails, summarise webpages and generate custom wallpapers in seconds.

Prime members also get Alexa+ included free, handling everything from recipe searches to personalised recommendations with a tap or a word. Parental controls through Amazon Kids and a build using 12 per cent recycled materials round out the package.
