Alia appoints interim committee to restructure Lobi Stars FC

Benue Governor Hyacinth Alia has approved the appointment of a five-man interim management committee to oversee the affairs of Lobi Stars Football Club, Makurdi.

This was contained in a statement on Wednesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Tersoo Kula, in Makurdi.

According to Kula, the committee will manage the club’s activities pending a comprehensive restructuring of its administration.

Members of the committee include Mr. Terver Ikya as Chairman; Uja Emmanuel as Media Director; Harry Yachi as Technical Director; Terzungwe Chugh as Administration/Board Secretary (Ministry of Sports) and Owoicho Adejoh Ogiri as member.

Kula noted that the committee has been directed to “immediately register the club for the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) football season.

The statement added that Governor Alia warned against distractions and urged all members to work together to achieve success and ensure the club returns to top-flight football.
