ALGON Chair Escapes Attack From Assailants In Kano

The chairperson of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Kano State and chairperson of Tudunwada Local Government Area, Hajiya Sa’adatu Yusha’u Soja, has narrowly escaped an attack by suspected thugs in Kano State.

The incident reportedly occurred shortly after she attended a political meeting in Kano convened to affirm the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Kano South.

According to eyewitness accounts, trouble began as she was leaving the venue when a group of suspected hoodlums allegedly targeted her convoy.

The attackers were said to have damaged the official vehicle conveying her, causing panic among participants and security operatives at the scene.

Despite the attack, the council chairperson was successfully evacuated unharmed from the area by security personnel.

Sources said the assailants struck swiftly before security operatives could fully contain the situation, although the motive behind the attack remains unclear.

As of the time of filing this report, neither the Kano State Government nor APC officials had issued an official statement on the incident.

Security agencies have also not confirmed any arrests, while investigations are expected to determine those responsible and the circumstances surrounding the attack.
