Dynamite airs tonight (Dec. 3) with a live show from Fishers Event Center in Fishers, Indiana. This is the second episode of Dynamite during the five week build to Worlds End, which takes place on December 27.

AEW is celebrating the holidays with bloody hardcore violence

When “Timeless” Toni Storm and her wife Mina Shirakawa recently won a 4-way tag team match at Full Gear, they earned the right to name the stipulation for their next match in the AEW women’s world tag team championship tournament. Their semifinal match against Marina Shafir and Megan Bayne (whose new team name is apparently MegaProblems) takes place on tonight’s episode of Dynamite, and per the babyfaces’ request, it will be a Hardcore Holiday Death Match.

What exactly is a Hardcore Holiday Death Match? I guess we won’t know for sure until the bell rings, but it sounds like a bloody spectacle filled with hardcore violence and holiday cheer. In that case, it will fit right into AEW programming following last month’s Blood & Guts event and all of the bloodshed we witnessed at Full Gear.

Will there be a little too much comedy involved in this bloody hardcore fight if all the plunder around the ring is holiday themed? For example, there may be kendo sticks that look like candy canes. Once again, we’ll just have to see how the women pull this one off. Shafir and Bayne are super serious heels, and Storm and Shirakawa are out for revenge after Storm surrendered to stop them from choking out Mina at Blood & Guts. I don’t think a lighthearted comedy affair is what their feud calls for here, but I trust that Toni Storm knows how to balance all the bloody hardcore violence with a dash of humor.

Tune into Dynamite to see whether Timeless Love Bombs or MegaProblems punch their ticket to the final round of the tournament, where Babes of Wrath (Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale) await.

The rest of the card

The Continental Classic tournament continues tonight with at least three more matches in Week Two. The most interesting match may very well be Jon Moxley versus Claudio Castagnoli in the Blue League. Moxley is the leader of the Death Riders while Claudio is his number one henchmen, but what happens to their dynamic in the group if Claudio makes Moxley tap out? Will the rest of the Death Riders realize that Mox is no longer the guy who should be their leader going forward?

Meanwhile, AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada is scheduled to take on PAC tonight in the Gold League. Okada desperately needs a win here to get back on track after losing in in Week One. The Rainmaker is still among the favorites to advance to the semifinal round at Worlds End, so I expect he’ll find a way to beat The Bastard and score three points.

The other Gold League match on the schedule for tonight is Kevin Knight vs. Kyle Fletcher. Both men are atop the standings after winning in Week One, but Fletcher is the man who beat Okada, so I wouldn’t bet against him here.

Finally, Eddie Kingston will have a face-to-face confrontation tonight with AEW World Champion Samoa Joe, ahead of their title match next week at Winter Is Coming. Last week, Eddie said HOOK is still his boy despite his shocking heel turn at Full Gear. Perhaps the Mad King will find out quickly tonight that the cold-hearted handsome devil really isn’t his boy anymore.

Other stuff to keep an eye on

– It looks like the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega are back together again after Matthew and Nicholas Jackson emerged from his locker room last week. How many members of the Don Callis Family will try to take them out tonight?

– Country music star Michael Ray jumped the rail to go after AEW National Champion Ricochet on Collision. Was that a one-off incident, or is there a bigger angle brewing here?

– The important members of the Death Riders are all in the C2 tournament, which leaves that loser Daniel Garcia to go after TNT Champion Mark Briscoe. Does this mean the Death Riders will spend the next few weeks trying (and failing) to murder Briscoe via plastic bags, toxic chemicals, and other silly methods?

– FTR are the new AEW world tag team champions, and the Bang Bang Gang are already coming after them. Juice Robinson says his team has FTR’s number. Will the title match be booked for Winter Is Coming?

– Where the f*** is Keith Lee?
