Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank and Ajman Bank have launched targeted financial relief packages offering loan deferments and flexible payment plans to SMEs and frontline personnel amid ongoing regional conflict.

DUBAI: Several UAE banks have stepped forward with financial relief measures to support customers navigating the pressures of ongoing regional conflict, with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank and Ajman Bank among those rolling out targeted packages for small businesses and frontline workers.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank has launched its Sanadna initiative, offering SMEs instalment deferrals of 30 to 60 days between April and June 2026, alongside takaful protection solutions and up to a 50 percent fee waiver on new POS services. Frontline personnel, including members of the UAE Armed Forces, Ministry of Defence and Interior, police, civil defence and emergency medical services, can access up to three months’ deferment on personal and auto finance instalments at no extra cost. Additional benefits include a 0.99 percent rate on salary advance finance, profit-free instalment plans for education expenses, and extended grace periods on personal and auto finance buyouts.

First Abu Dhabi Bank has launched a dedicated support package for frontline workers featuring preferential lending rates, cashback offers, flexible payment plans and loan deferment options, with priority services available across 20 branches near key workplaces and fast-tracked contact centre support.

Ajman Bank’s Talahom initiative waives personal finance instalment deferment fees for up to three months, offers 200 percent cashback on first retail purchases through newly issued digital credit cards, and introduces zero processing fees on auto and home finance. Customers can also benefit from complimentary property takaful for three years and monthly cashback on home finance payments for up to five years.

The relief measures reflect the banking sector’s broader response to operational and supply chain challenges affecting businesses and individuals amid the regional conflict.
