The African Democratic Congress has unveiled its manifesto ahead of the 2027 elections, proposing a living wage, independent electoral management, and a production-driven economy.

The manifesto, titled “ADC and New Framework of Electoral Campaign,” was produced by a committee chaired by former APC chairman John Odigie-Oyegun with Professor Pat Utomi as deputy chairman.

The party’s policy recommendations include the rule of law, a zero-impunity state, performance audits, subsidiarity, and fiscal responsibility.

Key Points:

The ADC proposes moving Nigeria from a consumption-driven, oil-dependent economy to a production-based one.
A living wage is promised, which would be a major shift from current minimum wage policies.
Independent electoral management free from executive control is a key governance reform proposal.
The party plans to declare a state of emergency in education and prioritise preventive healthcare.
Security framework focuses on local intelligence, state-level prevention, and regional collaboration.
