Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe is mourning the loss of her mother as she announced the sad news in an emotional Instagram post.

Although she did not disclose the details surrounding the death, the actress posted a photo of a candle signifying her mourning as she wished her mom would rest in peace.

Many have since taken to her comment section to offer prayers and condolences.

Mercy Aigbe, known for her roles in Yoruba and English-language films, has often spoken about her strong bond with her mother.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been made public.
