2nd Term Thank You Tour: Nembe receives Gov. Diri amidst jubilation

It was an atmosphere of jubilation, funfare and satisfaction as the people of Nembe Local Government Area in Bayelsa State turned out in their numbers to receive their Governor, Senator Douye Diri and his entourage to the ancient City of Nembe.

Governor Diri who led the Prosperity Administration on a thank you tour to the LGA for re-electing him and his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, during the 2023 November governorship election expressed profound gratitude for their votes and continued support to his administration.

His words, “we came here, we campaigned here, and we promised you that when you elect us for a second tenure, we will come back to say thank you, so, for us, this is the time to say thank you, thank you to Nembe, on behalf of the Government of Assured Prosperity, I bring the greetings and express our gratitude and our appreciation to the people of Nembe Local Government Area”, he said.

Earlier, at the Palace of the Amayanabo of Nembe, Mingi the 12th, King Edmund Daukoru, re-emphasied the resolve of the Nembe people to always support Governor Diri following his humble disposition, fear of God and the character of making a promise and keeping such promises, stressing that the Governor has embarked on so many projects across the State that people could not help but to love him.

Legendary musician, Fubara Orutugu of Toyo- toyo fame, was on ground to perform to the crowd.

Dignitaries at the event include Deputy Governor, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, former Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Gboribiogha John Jonah, Senator representing Bayelsa East, Sen.
