A bin man has shared the amount of money he earns collecting people's rubbish - and it might surprise you.

In a clip posted to TikTok by user Manc On a Mission, a bin man working in Oldham is quizzed about the job that he recommends to all younger people.

According to the profile, he speaks to 'real workers' in the region and shows why 'every job matters'.

His candid conversations with people in the street have since earned the creator 13,000 followers. His content sees him chatting to drivers, horse transporters and bus drivers.

In a recent clip, titled 'How Much Does a Bin Man Earn', the TikTok user is in conversation with a 27-year-old bin man named Gav who truly lifts the lid on the job.
