23yr Old Aspiring Model E-ds It All Over Husband Called Her M*nkey

A 23-year-old woman named Tannu Singh, who dreamed of becoming a model, has tragically taken her own l!fe after her husband reportedly called her a “m-nkey” in a moment of what he described as light-hearted teasing.

The heartbreaking incident occurred on January 30, 2026, but according to her husband Rahul Srivastava, the events that led to it began in the afternoon of January 28. At the time, Tannu, Rahul, her sister Anjali, and their young son Abhay were all at home together.

Rahul explained that during casual family banter, he and Anjali jokingly referred to Tannu as a “monkey.” The words were said playfully, but Tannu immediately got up and left the room without responding. Thinking she was just upset and needed space, Rahul stepped out to get food. When he returned, he asked Anjali to check on Tannu.

Anjali went to the room and found the door locked. Despite knocking and calling out, there was no answer. Worried, she looked through the window from outside—and saw Tannu hanging from the ceiling. Anjali screamed for help in panic.

Hearing the cries, Rahul and neighbors rushed to the scene. They broke in, rescued Tannu, and immediately rushed her to Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. Sadly, doctors declared her dead on arrival.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ghazipur (Indiranagar), Anindya Vikram Singh, confirmed: “We got information about the suicide from the locals but no information was received at the police station.”

Authorities say they will take further action only after the post-mortem report is completed and statements are recorded from family members.
