  • Dodge has revealed the redesigned Attitude for Mexico.
  • The sedan is a rebadged GAC / Trumpchi Empow, which features a 1.5-liter engine developing 168 hp.
  • Pricing starts at $399,900 MXN, which is a sizable increase over its Mitsubishi-based predecessor that began at $275,400 MXN.

Forget the Charger Daytona and its questionable sound as the most exciting Dodge is the redesigned Attitude. Actually, you might want to forget Dodge too as the sedan is little more than a rebadged GAC / Trumpchi Empow.

Designed to replace its Mitsubishi Mirage-based predecessor, the 2025 Attitude has an aggressive design that actually lives up to its name. Three trims are available and pricing starts at $399,900 MXN, which equates to $21,070 USD.

The entry-level Attitude SXT has rain-sensing wipers, a sports exhaust system, and 17-inch aluminum wheels. Buyers will also find automatic headlights with LED daytime running lights.

The interior looks fairly nice and comes equipped with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster as well as a 10.25-inch infotainment system. They’re joined by cruise control, a passive entry system, a rearview camera, and rear parking sensors.

The $454,900 MXN ($23,973 USD) Attitude Sport ups the ante thanks to a performance exhaust, larger 18-inch wheels, and a sunroof. Bigger changes occur inside as the mid-level trim comes equipped with ventilated synthetic leather front seats with five-way power adjustment on the driver’s side. Buyers will also find a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, and a dual-zone automatic climate control system.

The Sport also comes with additional driver assistance systems including front parking sensors as well as nine “autonomous 2nd level safety assists.” That’s about as clear as mud, but the Empow offers Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, and Traffic Jam Assistance. The model can also be outfitted with High Beam Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, and traffic sign recognition technology.

Last but not least is the range-topping Attitude GT, which begins at $488,900 MXN ($25,747 USD). It’s distinguished by black 18-inch wheels, a rear spoiler, and an available two-tone interior. The model also has a wireless smartphone charger, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a four-way power front passenger seat. Other highlights include blind spot detection and power lumbar support for the driver.

Regardless of which trim is selected, there’s “unmatched Dodge power” under the hood. That should elicit a few chuckles as the model is powered by a 1.5-liter engine developing 168 hp (125 kW / 170 PS) and, presumably, 199 lb-ft (270 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission as we predicted earlier this month.

While that doesn’t exactly sound like a thrilling combination, the company promised “sporty handling faithful to the Dodge legacy.” Unfortunately, it’s not clear if that heritage is Mitsubishi or Hyundai.
