2023: WIKE WILL WORK FOR APC, MASARI CLAIMS

Ibrahim Masari, the one-time running mate to the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has said that the Rivers State governor, Wike Nyesom, will help the ruling party win the 2023 election.

Masari in an interview with BBC News Hausa from London on Wednesday, said that Wike doesn’t need to join APC to help the party succeed in 2023.

Asked if there is a possibility of Wike defecting to APC, Masari said, “This is not a problem, because it is not necessary for him to return to APC, what is needed is that Wike is a full-fledged politician who has control over the governors, his zone and many states.

"In modern politics, you don't need a person to come back to your party before he helps you".

He added that because Wike has influence with some PDP governors, they would be valuable in helping APC win the 2023 election.

 "We are not afraid because the things we are seeing even though it is clear now I assure us that there are PDP talents who will be useful to us in the 2023 election."
