10-year-old boy allegedly forced to consume faeces in Topremang

A deeply disturbing incident has been reported in Topremang, a community in the Denkyembour District of the Eastern Region, where a 10-year-old boy was allegedly forced to eat his own faeces by a tenant known as Sister Patience.

According to reports, Sister Patience suspected the minor of defecating in her bathroom.

In response, she allegedly entered the boy’s mother’s room in her absence, dragged the child out, and forced him into the bathroom, compelling him to consume the faecal matter.

Witnesses claim she held the boy’s head and pushed his face into the waste.

The child, traumatized and in tears, later reported the ordeal to his mother.

Community members who heard about the incident attempted to intervene, with local elders mediating discussions.

As part of their resolution, they requested that Sister Patience compensate the minor and his mother with GH₵100.

The incident has sparked outrage among residents, with calls for law enforcement authorities to take swift action.

Child rights advocates have also condemned the act, urging authorities to ensure justice for the victim and prevent similar cases in the future.
