Prophet Mensah has demanded that Ghanaian rap star Sarkodie apologize to President John Mahama within seven days for a remark the prophet deemed disrespectful.

The statement, “Back to Gari soakings like we never left,” allegedly made by Sarkodie, was interpreted by Mensah as mocking Mahama’s return to office. In a viral video, the prophet conducted a ritualistic demonstration involving boiling herbs in a rubber bucket over fire.

He claimed this act symbolized invoking poverty upon the rapper and his family should the apology not be rendered.

Social media users have been divided, with some defending Sarkodie’s right to free speech while others support the prophet’s stance.

Sarkodie has yet to respond publicly to the ultimatum.
