Ondo Drops 100+ Tokenized U.S. Stocks on Ethereum

In a bold move to blur the line between TradFi and DeFi, Ondo Finance, a real-world asset tokenization specialist, has launched over 100 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs on Ethereum.

The rollout—available via the Ondo Global Markets platform—serves qualified investors across Asia-Pacific, Europe, Africa, and Latin America. The firm plans to scale this offering to 1,000 tokenized securities by year-end, with support for BNB Chain and Solana arriving shortly thereafter.

24/5 On-Chain Market Access

Ondo Global Markets lets users mint and redeem tokenized equities around the clock (24 hours a day, 5 days a week), tapping into traditional exchange liquidity without holding crypto. The platform delivers exposure to U.S. stocks’ total economic return, backed by actual shares held with U.S. broker-dealers. Peer-to-peer transfers remain unrestricted—but availability excludes U.S. and U.K. users.

“Ondo takes a different path… transfer tokenized equities across wallets, exchanges, and protocols, while providing seamless onchain access to robust traditional exchange liquidity,” stated the project in its official announcement.

This deployment is the next phase in a broader tokenization strategy. Readers can revisit Ondo’s initial unveiling of the platform earlier this year via our coverage of the 2025 launch of Ondo GM.

Deep Infrastructure and Wallet Support

At launch, Ondo partnered with a wide range of ecosystem players including OKX Wallet, Trust Wallet, Gate, BitGo, Ledger, LayerZero, 1inch, and more. In addition to this Chainlink is providing price oracles to preserve asset value integrity. And 1inch upgraded its Swap API to enable jurisdiction-aware access to these new tokenized assets.

Ondo teamed up with Block Street to unlock DeFi-native tools like borrowing, shorting, and hedging on tokenized names like AAPLon, TSLAon, and NVDAon. Institutional rails are no longer optional — they’re baked in.

Shifting From Hype to Infrastructure

The launch lands amid a full-court press on tokenized equities. Kraken’s xStocks already span Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain, while Robinhood and Bybit are racing in parallel.

What was once a niche experiment is becoming financial infrastructure. Now it’s a battle over liquidity, scale, and who gets there first — with LayerZero powering Ondo’s interoperability push.

What to Watch Next

Tokenized stocks won’t scale without regulatory green lights. Europe’s ESMA has already warned: unclear shareholder rights could derail adoption.
