The people believe in Joe Hendry, and their persistence may pay off sooner than later. Hendy now has a clear path to win the TNA World Championship.

After Hendry was screwed by JBL clubbing a Clothesline from Hell in his previous world title challenge against Nic Nemeth, the viral sensation had to start from the bottom to work his way back up the ladder. A few wins later, and Hendry has his goal within reach.

TNA announced a four-way #1 contender bout at Final Resolution on December 13. Hendry will battle Josh Alexander, Mike Santana, and Steve Maclin. The winner will receive a world title shot at the Genesis PPV on January 19.

Wave your hands from side to side and say, “I believe in Joe Hendry!”

TNA also stacked up Final Resolution with a bunch of fresh match announcements. The lineup currently includes:

  • TNA World Championship: Nic Nemeth (c) vs. “Top Dolla” AJ Francis
  • Knockouts Championship: Masha Slamovich (c) vs. Tasha Steelz
  • X-Division Championship: Moose (c) vs. Kushida
  • TNA World Tag Team Championship: Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards in a tables match
  • #1 Contender: Joe Hendry vs. Josh Alexander vs. Mike Santana vs. Steve Maclin for world title shot at Genesis PPV

Francis talked his way into the world title bout against Nemeth. Steelz defeated Jordynne Grace, with help from Alisha Edwards, and now the Baricua Badass has a date with Slamovich. Kushida won a five-way match to earn his shot at Moose. Alisha saved Eddie and Myers with blatant interference for a disqualification. Santino Marella was not pleased with those shenanigans, so he booked “La Sistema” against “The Hard Boys” in a tables match.

What’s your take on the Final Resolution card? Do you still believe in Joe Hendry?
